ADL will need about two to three forest; one for Active directory forest, one for DNS sever and one for DHCP server and one Domain controller. Objects that are within a domain grouped together are called Organizational Units (OU). With the help of OU it is possible to stage the domain in a hierarchy. It is recommended by Microsoft to use as few domains in an AD structure and hence ADL will use one domain as recommended by Microsoft. The AD objects are called Group Policy Objects (GPO). However, GPO can also be applied to domains or sites.
