Advantages and Disadvantages for the Employers

According to available literature on flexible workforce and the advantages that employers can entertain by this work allocation strategy, there are quite a number of advantages that employers can have. The chief concerns of employers that is making them opt for the flexible workforce and working hours are coming in on them from different directions. For instance, there is pressure from national and global factors. Increasing office costs with employees tucked in their cabins and working at the fixed time duration is one issue that can be resolved if flexible working hours are pursued.

Another important advantage that employers can go for is to meet the challenging pressure to cut environmental pollution. There are a great many issues related to this matter. However, the most talked about and nerve-racking matter is the pouring of huge traffic on the roads and railways that causes huge problems in terms of economic, social, and environmental mayhem. By allowing workers to offer their services in flexible working hours, this single but disastrous problem can be avoided, simultaneously addressing the issues of environmental pollution.

One instance that is most widely quoted in this regard is the mobility disaster in the year 2001 given September 11 background. Moreover, constant research on travelling issues in UK shows that this single matter has dire impact for UK businesses in the short as well as long run. Among the major problems and disadvantages for the firms is not to be equipped with efficient tools to deal with the issues of flexible working.
