The current situation of Pakistani public sector companies is badly in need to motivate their employees. As we have seen after the privatization many firms have done great job in changing and modifying them but somehow there are still some companies, which were better before going in to the public sector. Lets take example of Pakistan Telecommunication Services, and in comparison Pakistan Post.

The current situation of Pakistan Telecommunication Services is not too good, as it is observed that the number of complains, the system of provision of services and customer relation specially are weaker and become more weaker in performance after going into public sector. In comparison to that Pakistan post has modified its look, performance, services etc. but still the need for motivation to employee is required so as to meet the international level of service provision and do business with the world.

In this regard, it is very important, as well as, difficult for a manager that the employees under him/her are motivated to perform their jobs effectively. If we ask a common man what motivates employee he/she will definitely tell what is liked by him and motivates him in particular. The method adopted to motivate the employees must be adapted keeping in eye the individual employee. We must offer them something like incentive, which is valuable to them in order to achieve certain goal. In other words, public sector is not unaware of the motivation, and thus, is one of the usual matters for them.
