There are several types of business communication ranging from a letter of complaint to a letter of application. Its distinction lies in the fact that it provides information as regards business that relates either to your professional or personal life. A written correspondence can easily be recognized as a business communication as it follows standard formats and writing styles. While deviation from the format is clearly not encouraged, the writing styles recommended are merely guidelines. While it is essential that the basic contextual element must be there, you are nonetheless allowed to make enhancements. This is where you will be able to show off your personality.
One cannot go wrong in following the principle of simplicity, clarity and brevity. However, this limits writers into thinking that one can no longer go beyond these.
