Ebenezer Company’s ethics program is a methodical approach to elevate ethical awareness of its employees, educating and guiding them on ethics and also helping in identifying and making available resources which can be useful in interpreting and solving ethical issues.

The following steps have been taken by the company to check on the ethics program:

Training:

When we talk about recruits and new employees in Ebenezer Company, business ethics is the first essential element that is taught to the new employees because it is the foundation on the basis of which any business is build. New employees are made aware of the fact that business needs ethical employees, as they are needed to be more value oriented and are also believed to expand and support a more positive and an ethical culture.

Also that ethics help them in not involving in actions such as cheating or risking the firm money by any of their unethical behavior or as the company’s code of ethics demonstrates actions such as harassment, alcohol and drug abuse or inappropriate conduct. Ethics is also emphasized to them as an element that enables them to have a larger sense of responsibility.

Employees and managers are oriented to the values of the Ebenezer Company through the proper training provided to them on ethical behavior. This makes the managers and employees understand how their company is perceived or observed by others, so keeping the value of their organization in mind they work together towards the progress of their company.

Ebenezer Company realizes that all the decisions that affects their customers comprises of an ethical dimension. Ebenezer Company has a very open and interactive environment and culture therefore employees and managers easily discuss matters related to ethical situations without any feeling of unease. A comfortability level exists between the managers and employees that help them to practically solve any issue related to ethics in the company.

Since Ebenezer Company strictly discourages harassment, discrimination, drug and alcohol abuse as well as inappropriate conduct, while making policies these factors are always taken into consideration. The Company’s policy will always take care of safety issues as well as respect issues that is no such person will be employed in the company who possess or deals in alcohol or drugs at all and only such employees will be considered who treats every member with respect and honor without discrimination as well as excellent service will be given to all the customers of the company ignoring every sort of discrimination. Every customer will be valued equally.

Enforcement:

Managers in Ebenezer Company make sure that a specific ethical behavior of an employee is always rewarded so that all the employees tend to perform the same way also to ensure the enforcement of ethics in the company the managers never let go of an employee who misconducts or perform any unethical act, so that employees refrain from such unethical behavior.

The Ebenezer Company on  the whole always make sure that peer reporting is done for the purpose of correcting unethical and unacceptable performance and incase of any repetitive issue for a while, a disciplinary action is taken to retain enforcement of ethics in the company. As well as feed back, policies and communication is also encouraged for the accomplishment and enforcement of desired ethical behavior in the company.
