Liz should rationalize her objectives by understanding that the workload laid on the employee’s (Ann) should have a timeframe for a pre-sell. She should know organizational climate is integral in determining employee wellbeing (Griffin et al. , 2000; Michela et al. , 1995). Ann has engaged in coping processes after exposure to the conditions in the workplace. The coping processes will influence appraisals of her staff in positive or negative terms (Hart et al. , 1995). As such she should be patient to let Ann adjust to the change in the nature of her staff attitude as well as hers.

Liz should manage Ann’s workplace stress, in order to limit its impact on the business bottom line. She should seek to establish policies, procedures and guidelines which ensure that workplace stress issues are effectively managed. The key in achieving this is consultation with Ann and her staff and having regard to the factors that lead to stress.
