Any errors that are conducted by the employees should be seen as an opportunity to learn. There are a number of ways that the learning organization can be operational in the practicing management of the company. For example managers of the company must be receptive to new ideas and they should overcome the desire to control the operation of the company.

There are many companies that do things the way they have been doing in the past, these companies are very reluctant to adapt to the changing environment. Learning organizations basically help the employees of the company to learn new ways of thinking and it helps them to adapt to the changing environment and it also helps the company to transfer from a traditional organization to a learning organization.

The difference between the tradition and learning organization is that the traditional organization has the following points, the vision is provided by the top management, top management decides what is to be done and the rest of the organization acts upon that, each employees is responsible for his or her own job responsibility and they must focus on developing individual competence, the conflicts are resolved through the use of power and hierarchical influence

and last but not least the role of the leader is to establish the organization’s vision, provide rewards to the employees and maintain the overall control over the employees.

Whereas the learning organization has the following points and they are as follows, there is a shared vision that can emerge from many places but the top management is responsible for making sure that this vision exists and it nurtured, formulation and implementation of ideas take place at all levels of the company, personnel understand their own jobs as well as the way in which their own work interrelates with and influences that of other personnel, conflicts are resolved through the use of collaborative learning and the integration of diverse viewpoints of personnel throughout the company and last but not least the role of the leader is to build a shared vision, empower the employees, inspire commitment and encourage effective decision making throughout the company through the use of the empowerment and charismatic leadership. Another practice of learning organization is that it develops creativity among the employees of the company. Creativity is actually the ability to formulate different approaches towards problem solving and decision making.

Learning organization also helps to develop a sense of confidence which is characterized by the awareness of personal and organizational values and a proactive approach to problem solving. For example in General Electric, the company clearly spells out the sense of mission and values of the company. the employees of the company are given an opportunity to identify and examine their own values, this basically help the employees understand better and perform better in their jobs. The employees are also taught how to evaluate the effects of their behaviors on others so that they can increase their productivity and efficiency related to their work activities.

As a result most of the learning organizations teach their employees how to review and evaluate their current work activities, habits and changing work behaviors and attitudes that limit their thinking abilities. All companies whether they are traditional or learning organizations are faced with equal employment challenges. All companies portray that they provide equal employment opportunity to everyone. The equal employment opportunity law basically requires that the managers and the human resource departments to provide applicants an equal opportunity without any regard to race, religion, sex, disability, pregnancy, national origin or age (CONNOLLY & CONNOLLY 1979).

The laws have an impact on every HR activity of the company like planning, recruiting, selection, and placement, training, compensation, development and employee relations. EEO laws basically seek to end discrimination in employment based on race, colour, religion, disability, national origin, sex, pregnancy and age (over 40). Sexual Harassment is the most difficult forms of discrimination to deal within any working environment. It mostly happens in a hostile work environment which is created due to an employee’s membership in a protected class. Sexual Harassment is done of the following forms such as sexual favours, verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.

These types of Sexual harassment can create a disturbance or can affect an individual’s work performance and can create a hostile or offensive environment within the working place and it would also create poor employees morale, low productivity and lawsuits against the company. And if an individual does not submit to this conduct it is used against him or her regarding their employment decisions. Sexual harassment is not actually about sex but rather about power but more to the point, abuse of power. Harassment is not just sexual but also includes harassment based on race, religion or disability etc. But the most common kind of harassment found within the working place is sexual harassment.
