By keeping the employee morale high by using various strategies like job redesign, job enrichment, job rotation, suitable promotion etc. , employers do retain critical employees required for the business success.

Incentives and pay revision are some other activities in Human Resource Management that can help retain the employees. Career and Succession planning are other strategies used to retain the right people. By structuring the promotion strategy in a way that high fliers are recognized and retained, additional budgets for recruitment on a continuous basis can be avoided. Telecommuting, flextime, and special facilities for working mothers are few of the many ways employers use to show the genuine concern for their employees and thus gain their trust and loyalty.
