The reason why the human resource generalist is present is because the company is small and the relevance of this office will diminish once the company grows to a large organization. It is necessary that the person occupying this office is highly experienced in the human resource department because he or she will have to deal with all aspects in the department and also provide guidance to the junior employees. Apart from the human resource generalist, there is also the office of the director of human resources.

It is in this office that the duty of overseeing of the activities taking place and monitoring of the job turnover takes place. It is also in this office that the evaluation of whether the people are getting the necessary training in relation it their assigned tasks takes place. For each department, there is a head whose qualification to that job includes the fact that he or she must have had previous experience in the human resource department in any other company and most preferable in related companies so that they understand what is required of them.

This makes the heading of these departments very easy because the person in charge is used to the job. Taking into consideration that there are various human resource activities which include benefits, employment, and others, these heads of departments are specialized in a specific department. Each and every one of them is charged with the duty of heading one department in which they feel they are most proficient in and also the one that they are most experienced in.

They specialize in these specific areas and this makes them more efficient in the performance of their duties. They are able to concentrate on the details that would otherwise be overlooked if they were to be in charge of all the departments. They become more efficient in the performance of their duties because they do not strain a lot because they are used to the job. In these positions people who are mature in terms of the length of time they have been in the job have been preferred by the company since their decisions will be more reliable.
