Drug testing has been currently and has been established as a mandatory requirement in the human resource department of the contemporary business society. This is mainly because the current business society is indeed both concern and cautious regarding the adverse effect of drug use and drug addiction towards the moral standards and performance of their employees as individuals and as a group.

In contrast to the positive nature of the said policy, the mandatory drug testing policy of the business society at the present is usually perceived and considered by many people to be unjustifiable and even unreliable in spite of all the advances in the technology of the process. Unjustifiable since the drug test screening process can indeed degrade and expatriate the involved participant because of the negative impact of the results to then personality and identity of the employee. Unreliable because a true drug test provides only ample information regarding the drug use history and nature of the involved participant.

Relevant informations such as the physiological condition of the participant as affected by the drug used, the specific drug that was used, its critical effect to the person who used it, the history of drug use relatively the concentration, dosage

and frequency are not conclusively indicated in the results of the drug test. Because of this public concern for this policy, the business society at the present has modified their approach and implementation of the said policy such as making the results of the screening as highly confidential.

As a conclusion, drug test screening in the contemporary business society should be feared or avoided by the public instead this must be viewed as a way for the business sector and the society to help individuals who have problems regarding drug abuse and drug addiction.
