Technology is still a major factor in the work environment. The period under study which is through the late 1800s to the early 1900s can be considered as the onset of the technology era that drastically changed the way work and labor are perceived. One of the effects of the introduction of machineries in the workplace is the decrease in the needed human workforce. The main workers that are needed are the operators of the machines that are introduced. Through the course of history and the continuously improving technology, the work life is being affected.

The human workers are continuously compared to the machines. On the perspective of the profitability and input cost, machines then are preferred. Also, due to the continuous influence of the technology in the different industries and production system, the workers are gradually treated as machines. This can be observed in the trend for non-permanent workers that can be dispensed on any given period of time, like machines that can be disposed once they fail to function.

Humanity of the laborers is only taken as the least priority, thus even their needs are not considered. The work environment due to the changes in the benefits that can be achieved by the laborers was able to change also on the basis of the establishment of union. Due to the continuously degrading labor system wherein the workers get employed to be able to stay alive and not to achieved fulfillment in their jobs and succeed anymore, their rights are continuously being disregarded. Thus, the establishment of unions was undertaken.

Issues Concerning the Workers from 1800 to the Present.

Due to the fact that workers are human, unlike the technological development, their rights specifically for proper compensation and achievement of benefits can be considered is one of the most important issues. On the basis of the perspective of the labor managements, human workers can also be treated as another form of machinery. This provoked the establishment of unions. The unions can be considered as the embodiment of the needs of the workers for proper compensation and other rights.

There are many issues that can be considered of importance and continuously being upheld by the unions and the individual workers from the late 1800s but the issues on wages and compensation can be considered the most discussed and the priority since workers tend to presently work to be able to earn and survive. Since the said period to the present era, the wages are needed to be given fairly but this can drastically increase the production costs of industries, thus, profits can greatly be lessened.

Compromise is important in the said matter since a company can never survive if every needs of the workforce are grated. The economic security of the labor force can be considered important to be able to give attention to such problems. Aside from the rights to proper compensation, the proper resolution and relations with the labor management is also important to be able to prevent the incidents in the 1940s wherein there had been conflicts between the workers the employers. In such cases, the rights of the workers for proper compensation and other benefits can be ignored the more.

In relation to the right of the workers for proper compensation, ethics can be considered as an important issue. This can be attributed to the fact that it should be given priority to give humanity to the workers as compared to the machineries that are used. It is also an important consideration that while the laborers suffer for less and less compensations that cannot answer their needs, the leaders of the companies and the executives receive high compensation. The differences in wages can be considered as one of the issues being given attention by the members of the work force.

Unemployment is also another issue being given attention by the work force. This can be attributed to the fact that the nation learned its lessons the hard way during The Great Depression. During that period a large percentage of work force were removed due to the fact that over production occurred and the production costs cannot be retrieved. This event led to the increase of the unemployment rate six folds. Summary and Conclusion The concepts that are presented in the research that was conducted are included in a limited view of the complex labor system.

It is important to be able to consider the different scenarios and perspectives to be able to present a clearer picture of the work history. The issues that had been covered through generalized the importance of the workforce which can be considered to continuously being given degrading attention. The factors that greatly influenced the work history can be considered to have affected the work force in a negative manner, the development of machineries on the basis of technological prowess and the specialization of work.

It can be considered with a tinge of mourning that the work trend is inevitable leading, as a cliche, to the replacement of the people by machine and the continuous denial of the rights of the human workforce. Work history as it continuously unfolds depicts a community of workers with the main goal as to receive compensation to be able to survive. Although pessimistic in nature, based on the data that had been gathered, there are insufficient resources to refute the claim.
