Our country is facing difficult times especially with the recent economic crisis that the Office of University Finance has decided to implement cost-effective budget strategies to lower the university’s expenses and possibly raise revenues.

Effective on October 27, 2008, all educational materials and photocopying services will be transferred to the university-run bookstore. Also, all university facilities like the library, laboratories, gymnasium, canteen and faculty/student lounges will be closed at exactly seven in the evening and will open at seven in the morning to minimize electricity consumption. Thus, classes or activities should not be scheduled after seven in the evening.

The Office of University Finance will still be implementing three more strategies for the next fiscal year; announcements of the changes will be made a month prior to the implementation date.
