The 12 determinants of information systems are classified into four: Information Quality, Information Accessibility, Information Presentation, and Information Security. Information Quality is the detailed representation of information and its appropriateness to the task determined by accuracy, precision, completeness, age, timeliness, and source while Information Accessibility is the availability of information to the systems and admissibility in using the information under laws and regulations.

Information Presentation is the level of summarization comparing the number of individual items where the data is based and the number of items that the data is presented as well as the format where the information is organized and expressed. Information Security refers to access restriction and encryption, which converts data into coded form and decoded by an authorized person only. This technology (e-banking) has made banking easy and accessible to customers anytime, anywhere.

The e-health technology enables health care facilities to improve information access to patients, computerize medical records, provide unified electronic claims, extend the reach of care delivery through telehomecare (visual assessment, remote diagnostic and lab tests), and utilize the features of telemedicine, a portal where doctors and nurses can receive consultation or mentoring, share x-rays and records from specialists who are miles away reducing medical errors at the same time upgrade their skills and education.
