Information Technology and Business

Another traditional value that is given more emphasis during this peak of information technology is trust. Truthfulness is very essential in business because the information that they have should be closely guarded from their competitors. Traditionally, having access to information have empowered individuals especially those in the upper level of the organizational structure like the executives. They have a certain power of knowing information that their subordinates do not know about.

Nevertheless, the age of information technology introduced a new realization that is grounded in the idea that it is only by sharing information that it becomes useful. This entails that there is more value in sharing information rather than hoarding it. Furthermore, sharing information in business can be helpful in enhancing the mode of operations of companies and it will also establish a more harmonious relationship (De George, 2003). Development in information technology also paved the way for business organizations to become more interconnected with each other.
