After much thought and consideration, I decided against this due to the fact that there was never one

In accounting, the numbers don’t Feeling is the next aspect of my Personal Type Forecast, ‘P. The assessment noted that others with this result normally make decisions with their personal values in mind. This is very true. For example, I was Just offered a fantastic internship position. The company needs me to start Immediately and asked if would need to give my current employer two weeks’ notice. I value being loyal and honest so I explained that I would need to wait two weeks before starting and not only were they understanding but they still decided to hire me. Loud have just left my current employer without notice as this new opportunity is superior but decided to stick with my values instead. Lastly, my final characteristic was the letter ‘J’ meaning Judgment and states that I prefer a planned, orderly life. This result did not come as a shock either as I tend to be very organized and plan ahead. This morning, for Instance, I woke up with the had to pick up around my apartment so that I could really concentrate. I made a plan for myself: first, I will finish the dishes, take out the trash, put away my clean laundry and then I can sit down and complete this paper.
This all needs to be completed before I leave for work at 4:pm. I have planned my day, made a deadline for myself, and maintained a sense of order while doing so. Helping B Assessment Analysis This assessment measures how helpful my behavior is in the workplace. Interpersonal citizenship behavior is defined as those behaviors that benefit coworkers and colleagues and involve, assisting, supporting, and developing other organizational members in a way that goes beyond normal Job expectations. Being helpful is Just one type of citizenship behavior but valued within many organizations.
Helping involves assisting coworkers with heavy workloads, aiding them with personal issues and showing new employees how the workplace operates. My score, a 43 out of a possible 49, concludes that I do engage in helpful behavior in the workplace. My current position has a high turnover rate due to the complex reoccurred that we must go through on a day to day basis. With this, there are constantly new team members that need assistance even after they are finished with training. Recently, a new team member asked me a question regarding a procedure that wasn’t as clear-cut as the others.
I gave him advice on how I usually handle the situation and advised that if he needed anything else to let me know. Throughout the evening, I coached him on various situations and was able to clear up some of his misconceptions. Emotional Intelligence B Assessment Analysis This assessment measures one’s ability to be emotionally intelligent. The word ability refers to the capabilities people use to perform a range of different, but related activities. Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to understand and use emotions socially. These abilities include self-awareness, other awareness, emotional regulation and the use of emotions.
Each of these is scored separately within the assessment. Since each of my four scores was above 19, the assessment concluded that I have above average emotional intelligence abilities. A case in which I found this to be true in terms of other awareness involves my significant other. When he found UT his parents were getting a divorce, he was very upset and was reluctant to talk about it. Prior to him telling me about this, I knew something was wrong. He was acting relatively normal but in pauses of conversation, I would notice him looking down or rubbing his head with a look of worry on his face.
I was observant of his body language was able to come to a conclusion that he was unhappy before he could admit it to me. With regard to my emotional usage, I have found that I can focus my feelings into something productive. This morning, I woke up with a slight feeling of dread as I knew I had a lot of work to complete. However, I was able to use this as motivation and finish my tasks in a timely manner. Success in the Workplace Success is something I define in regards to my accomplishments. These might include earning my CPA licensee or completing a flawless tax return.
Recognition, awards and positive feedback are what motivate me to be a good employee. Using the above analysis, I believe the best way to manage myself in order to be successful would be to utilize my strengths and work on my weaknesses. For example, validating take advantage of opportunities to present information to them or speak on behalf of y team. However, my Myers Briggs Personal Inventory results indicated that I have a tendency of putting other people’s needs before my own (which also explains the results from the Helping B Assessment).
Knowing this, I might try to volunteer less when asked to help other teammates with their workloads if I already have enough on my own plate. Being an organized and logical person, the accounting field was a good fit for me. I do well with numbers and find great satisfaction in making sense of them. I do well working with others, as described above, and though accountants typically work lone, accountants tend to work in teams while performing audits or consultations. Working in these kinds of situations would allow me to more readily use my social skills.
In addition to this, I would like to take advantage of my high emotional intelligence and extroverted personality by communicating with others as much as possible in my profession. I could use these talents to become more aware of my clients’ needs for instance. My helping nature will also benefit me in the workplace. This ability allows me to get to know my co-workers and also stand out as a team player. However, some of my results noted that I stay away from conflict. With this being true, I need to work on my problem solving skills and learn to face issues head on.
This could negatively effect my performance while doing audits, for example, as I may need to ask a client to make changes to the financial statements. I will need to remain firm when discussing the consequences for not complying. In addition to this, my high emotional intelligence also hinders my personality in that I can sometimes assume I know what is best for my teammates or the organization. I will need to make sure I really listen and understand the situation before making decisions.
