The firm uses technology in its structure so as to improve its relation with both workers and customers, to enhance communication across all lines of management and departments. Technology is used in the organization disseminate knowledge among the employees and customer.

There several ways technology is used in organizations. The organization uses emails to enhance its communication. Email is much faster than snail letters which may take months to be delivered. As a result there firms will be in apposition to make decisions in a faster way. Email has helped many firms to reduce its organizational structure by reducing it number of messengers and office attendances. In the long run it leads to low costs of production and consequently higher profit margin. Use of email is much cheaper as compared to the use of normal mails.

Another technology that is used in organization is the use of internet. It provides a variety of services and import information that was never available before its innovation. Currently firms can carry out transactions over the internet. We have purchases online as opposed to face to face business. Organizations have also developed websites and hence they can be consulted from any corner of the world. This has made the world to become smaller as technology continues to improve.  Organizations   use technology to train its employee and customers.

This has helped organizations to save on its cost of production since most of the ways used are more efficient and effective as compared to the classroom training. Companies have provided training over their website and other service providers. The development of long distance learning is among the technology that is used in the organization. This has enabled its employee to acquire education no matter the distance.

(1999), many firewalls now contain features to control, authenticate and secure users who may want to access a company’s internal data from the internet or even from another company. Through the use of modern technology in organizations it has resulted to high competition among organizations in the world hence leading to development of even more advanced technology as compared to the current technology.

The improvement of technology has therefore resulted in the changes in the organizational structures. In early days organizations used to have a big structure. This was due to many work loads that was to be carried out manually. To accomplish these organizations employed a lot of people. Currently organizations are using technology that is more labor intensive, more efficient so as to increase its production. The effect of this has been the reduction of employees in organizations which has lead to a change in the organizational structure.

Technology is used in the organizations as a tool of management. Many organizations are using the modern technology as its tool of monitoring its progress. Therefore the organization should be keen to ensure that it has given out the right information to its employees and customers.

Every organization should have internal information systems and exert anal information systems. Internal information systems provide information within the organization will. They are responsible for all communication between the employees and the administration. External communication systems provide information between the organization and the rest of the world.

The target group here is the customer to the organization. These two systems should be coordinated well so as t ensure that right information is maintained between the works and its external environment. This in the long will built good name to the organization which will enhance profit maximization.

It’s important that the organization’s workers are fully aware of the organizational goals and visions. This can be achieved through the use of organizational information systems. When every employee is aware of the goals it will help all these workers to aim at one target. Conflicts are minimized when the organizational goals are fully understood. This will also apply to the duplication of efforts in several departments. According to Huotari (2001) the series of studies confirms that value of the Critical Success Factors approach in identifying organizational objectives are well defined and relates the information needs of personnel in various positions to the objectives.

The most important resource in any organization is the human resource. There proper care should be taken so as to retain this resource so as to ensure that are working at their best levels of production. This even much easier when the communication channels are much faster well elaborate so as facilitate communication in time.

The other important part of organizational information is organizational name, location and its scope of operation. This kind of information should be clear since it gives a mental picture of the organization to all kinds of people. It normally found on the organizations’ website, posters and sign posts.

Any information that relates to organizations need to be presented in good manner, simple, attractive and clear. This is the reason as to why many organizations have come up with separate departments that deals with all kinds of information that relates to their organization. This ensures that the organization is in full control all that pertains to it.

Therefore the organizational technology can be distinguished from organizational information. Organizational technology looks at the way thing are carried out within the organization. It is concerned with how the production systems can be improved so as to be more productive and efficient. Organizational information gives the relevant information about the organization. It looks at the structures that exist within the organization and who the y can be linked using proper information channels.
