War has dominated most parts of the Balkan region. This has lasted for many years since the error of communist. The situation was actually fueled by the community break up which led to major blood shed and deaths in that region. Deployment of military troops suggested the worsened situation which eventually increased people’s problems and suffering. Poverty and corruption are among the negative impacts brought about the conflict.
The United States involvement in the Balkans situation can be analyzed as a positive move which contributes to the economy improvement in the region. Most people in Balkans have also struggled to revive the economy in collaboration with outside nations which has facilitated them to cooperative in the fight against terrorism. Although most people in this region are Muslims, the Islamic terrorism is not facilitated so much due to the poor economic status of the region which decreases the terrorist operation.

There is a concern that historical imperialism may be reflected on the scenario which takes place in Balkans. Through the fight against terrorist activities in that region United States and other western nation might utilize the opportunity to take control of the Balkan region which would in return enhance their achievements towards exploiting the resources in the region.
As earlier discussed this would be attributed to some factors like ethnicity, poverty and weak economical status of Balkans. This therefore indicates a typical conflict that continues to affect human beings. Many cases of world conflicts relate to human rights abuses which in some situations many people live under this undesirable conditions due to lack of capability to claim their rights. Other conditions have been attributed to the Islamic terrorists who deliberately violate human rights in an attempt to attack United States interests mostly in other nations.
Example can be found from the nations of the Persian Gulf and the terrorist activities that take place in the region in pursuits of United States interest. Persian Gulf is one of the world regions which as been affected by conflicts with direct involvement of major nations like united states. The reasons behind the conflicts are directly or indirectly related to the resources in the region that plays an important role in the global market. Oil is an important commodity which is actually an important source of energy. It fetches major income and promotes the economy of the region heavily.
Despite the continuous attempt to harmonize the environment and promote stability and peace in the region, many set backs have been experienced which facilitates continuous conflict and war leading to loss of life and property damage.
