Wal-Mart is known as one if not the largest retailing store in the world. As provider of jobs, it is also known as the second largest, next to the federal government of the United Stated. With its business strategies, it has dominated and the world as it is unstoppable in its expansion. A truly global company, Wal-Mart has redefined the shopping experience for the American consumer.
” (Independent Television Service, 2008). Wal-Mart expands to bring more jobs to more people. It provides better roads and other infrastructure to the cities. Many are happy for what it could provide to the Americans, better access of quality goods and better facilities. However while many finds better opportunity with the building of more Wal-Mart stores in different cities, not may are too glad of what Wal-Mart has achieved and what Wal-Mart take back in return. Many think that the jobs that Wal-Mart offers only replaces better paying jobs that the people of the community already have. Statement of the Problem It is a fact that Wal-Mart provides job to many Americans but the impact of business practices must yet to be scrutinized if only to find out why many oppose the development and expansion of this company. It is the purpose of this paper then to investigate on the business practices of Wal-Mart to be able to draw conclusion as to the impact of such practices to the American economy.

Many children are not sent to school for lack of food and resources. In many countries, people call for development. They clamor for the buildings of more roads and more stores to answer there needs. It is rather ironical that as other countries and other people crave for a store such as Wal-Mart, many Americana also are opposed of their projects of expanding their stretch in order to provide more jobs for the American people. This paper then is relevant as it shall provide the American society of the sentiment of the people as regards to the business practices of Wal-Mart.
This paper is significant as it shall enlighten the people why despite the goals and objectives of the company to improve the lives of the Americans many still are opposed to their business practices.
