Initial stage of employer-employee relationship is the selection of the appropriate employee.
Failure in this aspect would lead to waste of time, effort and funds of the organization. Thus, it is important that proper selection and screening process should be done. Selection entails not only an effective screening process but also the appropriate method of promoting the company and making proper advertisements and announcements to attract highly qualified applicants. For instance, the ad for the need of qualified applicants must be published in an appropriate newspaper company or it may be posted in a wholesome website.

Being equipped with the knowledge on selection and recruitment, I would want to explore more on the conduct of training of employees after the employer-employee relationship has already been established. We know that once the employee is hired in an organization that does not mean that he already has a hand on everything. Proper training and development process must be employed in order to make him an effective member of the organization.
Training, as learned from the lessons, is a very broad concept and has various aspects. Its complexity can be seen in the actual practice or in the actual exercise of profession. Organizations are in fact utilizing different modes of training their employees. This is one aspect which interests me most and am willing to explore for further studies considering that training is very vital in increasing productivity of an organization. The foregoing does not however mean that human resource management as a whole can be disregarded. The study of human resource management as a whole is equally important as its individual components.
All aspects of employment are affected by the rules governing the relations of employer-employee and the character of these relations is determinative of the productivity of both the employers and the employees. The importance of the human resource management is reflected in the various studies, researches in books and journals. The unfolding of theories applicable thereto has helped the professionals to better respond to the needs of the employees considering that the human relations has been subject to constant change and the needs of the employees are constantly changing.
Having sufficient knowledge on the character of the relations of the employer-employee relationship and the basic needs of the employees in the course of the employment, I feel I am sufficiently equipped with the ability to venture into the human resource management profession. What is important to be born in mind is that the employees’ basic rights of employees should be protected hand in hand with the goal of the organization and vis a vis the environment.
