Virtual organization E-Business paper

We are currently living in a changeover era in which different realities simultaneously live side by side. Now we are faced a new phenomena such as e-business. E-business was the magic mantra in 1990s. But as time progressed businesses realized that even businesses which are exploiting internet and related technologies are also going bankrupt. The major reasons were lack proper trained personnel, lack of know how, lack of globalization, lack of value added activities and hefty assignments and also no cyber ethics such absence of transparency.

This research paper discusses examines the legal issues of e-business (PayPal) and then also goes on to address the shortcomings and the remedies to ret. We need to define problems that are facing e-business in order to avoid them catching us unaware in the future. One of the fundamental challenges in the so – called e business running is: management of people. With this being the primary concern there are many other smaller concerns erupting on the side such as many businesses do not have a articulated and well documented strategy(Stross, 1997).

There is a lot more to e-businesses than an internet. These include many concerns, many e-businesses feel that what separates them from others businesses is the fact that they conduct their activities online but in reality the fact that ebusinesses efforts to do business online is not an ebusiness strategy. Internet has an infinite scope, with the scope being limitless, many businesses do not exploit its advantage to the maximum. Next major concern how ebusinesses find new markets for products and services.

The importance of internet in today’s world can not be over emphasized for e-businesses, in fact the mere survival of e-businesses is difficult without internet especially businesses which are globalized or are going global. One such enterprise is Microsoft which has a history of legal issues. Usually e-businesses are regarded as businesses which are IT-related or businesses which are country specific not international but this is not the case.

E-businesses essentially are enterprises that exploit the new capabilities of internet and related technologies (Stross, 1997). E-business Microsoft Corporation started in the mid-1980s. Throughout its history the company has been faced with issues regarding legal practices and its breach. Criticisms included various legal reasons, including infringement of pacts. The U. S. and the Europe have ruled against Microsoft for various such violations (Stross, 1997).

In 1995, the US Government filed against Microsoft Corporation for violating 1994 agreement. In 2000, Microsoft Corporation was termed as a monopoly and force Microsoft to split into 2 independent subunits. Similarly, Microsoft has been subject to many legal issues. It forcibly maintained its monopoly for a long time. However, Microsoft Corporation is not alone in this, many e-business/ e-commerce regardless of their sizes have been subject to many such issues. These can be dealt if proper framework is in place (Stross, 1997).
